Trying Something New

It’s always fun (and stretching) to try a new endeavor.  Tomorrow, Ignite is hosting a Church Planting Primer seminar in Joliet.  The five hour session will share the “nuts and bolts” of church planting with people who are interested in learning more about how church planting works.  Different sessions will be led by Ignite planters and will be based on specific realities of church planting:  My “fit” as a planter (using Ridley’s 13 key qualities), who do I reach most effectively, different models of church planting and looking at some of the tools we use in preparation for planting.

15 – 20 people have said they are attending the seminar and I am looking forward to spending time with them (and our planters) tomorrow.  This is a good way to develop potential planters and to people thinking about church planting.  It’s always a good thing to try something new, especially when it meets a vital need.  There is definitely something fun about being in a room with a bunch of church planters!

Rats. This would have been awesome. Would have loved to be there, but didn’t know about it. How do I get invited to this stuff?
